An update from the EAA Chapter 322, Johannesburg Executive Committee regarding the Chapter By-Laws.

Dear EAA Members, Family and Friends,
Thank you for your support of the new EAA Chapter 322, Johannesburg Executive Committee. We will make the most of this opportunity to serve our community as effectively as possible.
Additional committee members will be invited to join the Executive Committee to ensure that all required functional areas are properly represented. Thank you to those who have already agreed to assist. A further announcement will be made once this process has been completed.
We would also like to thank the 2025 EAA Chapter 322 Johannesburg Committee, who stepped down on 6 November 2025, for their contribution and service to the Chapter.
Each EAA Chapter operates autonomously and is responsible for making decisions based on the needs and interests of its members.
Review of the Chapter By-Laws
One of the first tasks the Executive Committee will address is a review of the Chapter By-Laws.
The current By-Laws were adopted without full consideration of the Chapter’s existing Constitution and Manual of Procedures, both of which guide the operation of the EAA ARO structure.
The Executive Committee remains committed to having a formal set of By-Laws in place. These will, however, be tailored specifically to EAA Chapter 322 Johannesburg and aligned with the Chapter’s existing governance requirements.
Article VII, Section 7
Article VII, Section 7 of the adopted By-Laws provides the Executive Committee with the authority to pass resolutions or authorise acts of the Chapter.
The decision to review and amend the adopted document was supported unanimously by all five committee members.
The previously adopted version of the By-Laws will therefore be replaced with an updated version that is aligned with the requirements of EAA Chapter 322 Johannesburg before being formally published.
