PUMA ENERGY FLYING LIONS DISPLAY
This amazing team will be on the ground with us at Brits Airfield from 09h30-10h45 on Saturday.
Take advantage of this opportunity to see these beautiful aircraft up close up and personal before this spectacular air display.AIRSPACE restriction
During the Flying Lions display scheduled between 10h45-11h15, the airspace will be closed. Note that we will not be able to accommodate arrivals or departures in a 5nm radius. Please note that there are a number of alternate airfields in the area, including : Aviators Paradise (FAAP) 10nm south of FABS and Rustenburg (FARG) 28nm south west. Please plan to be on the ground before 10h45 or after 11h15 on Saturday.WEATHER
Dean from Aero Weather advised on the following outlook for this coming weekend, at this stage
General trend is for a surface trough over the central interior, with heat-generated afternoon thunderstorms for Fri, Sat and Sunday.
The thunderstorms probability increases Sunday as a steep upper trough approaches Cape Town (resulting in increased uplift over Gauteng).
Details:
Friday clear until 1300 local when cumulus develop at FL120 bases, developing into ISOL CB.
Near-surface winds will be 34020KT to 25KT, but only 15KT early AM.
Saturday AM less wind approx 02012KT.
Again PM cumulus build-up after 1400 local, developing into ISOL CB, bases FL130.
Sunday repeats the pattern, but CB development very late PM.
Winds near surface approx 36013KT.
