EAA Chapter 322 Johannesburg
Young Aviators
Bringing together the next generation of pilots, aviation professionals and enthusiasts through community, experiences and a shared passion for flight.
Welcome
A community for young people in aviation
Young Aviators is for anyone between the ages of 16 and 30 who is involved in aviation or would like to become part of it.
Whether you are a glider pilot, fixed-wing pilot, helicopter pilot, involved in ground operations, studying towards an aviation career or simply starting your journey, everyone is welcome.
More than flying
What is Young Aviators?
Young Aviators brings together people from across aviation to create a community of passionate and enthusiastic young aviators.
It gives members the opportunity to meet people on a similar journey, build friendships and create valuable connections within the aviation industry.
Throughout the year, Young Aviators hosts social events and fly-ins designed to be accessible to students and young aviation enthusiasts. Events also provide opportunities to meet experienced members of the aviation community, learn about different careers and disciplines and ask for guidance.
Fly-ins are planned at suitable airfields to accommodate student pilots and hire-and-fly aircraft. The aim is simple: bring the next generation of aviation together and share the enjoyment of flying.
